The In-Plant Implementation team which is under Mfg. IT IPI is responsible for deploying any applications/Factory of Tomorrow(FoT) use cases that are required at plant floor in any Ford or JV plant. The Web developer cum Implementation specialist role is to be a SPOC for a particular plant and fulfil the Application needs for the Prod & Non-Prod requirements that the plant has. He also required to develop web applications required for IIOT Use cases development and support. This resource as a Web developer cum Implementation specialist with PDO Plant Floor Services product line will focus on a particular market's project deployment, IIOT Use cases development and support.

Scope:

• Engage with business partners to gather requirements, understand technical discussions, and explain Application options/features available.

• Maintain a working relationship with Business stakeholders and different IT Application Development & Support teams.

• Maintain working relationships with vendors and ensure proper communication between various stakeholders in Ford

• Develop the User Interface screens, Dashboards for the IIOT Use cases and configure the required backend tools. Work with the end user to enhance the Dashboard screens

Pre-Implementation:

• Work with the respective business stakeholders like VOME and collect, document the user requirements for the IIOT Use cases

• Assist in finalization of IT (Information Technology) footprint.

• Work through the details of the requirements gathered in ID & Assess and develop detailed implementation plan

• Track the implementation plan on a regular basis and provide assistance to prepare the status update to senior management reporting

• Assist and face-off with local IT (Information Technology) and business and provide updates to the Implementation supervisor as necessary

• Tracking and report progress on IT (Information Technology) and plant equipment readiness

Implementation:

• Assist functional testing

• Support integration testing between various global application

• Ensure training to plant floor users

• Documentation of trials and results

• Support hand-hold and hand-over process

• Integrate application with vendor tooling

Post launch support:

• Track posts launch metrics and develops improvement plans

Purpose:

Support deliver of New Model Programs (NMP) & Mfg. Non-Production(BUP) requirements in Asia Pacific markets

• Develop new / Enhance the existing IIOT application Dashboard screens and application code as required by the business team

• Collaborate closely with business / IT (Information Technology) SMEs (Subject Matter Expert), Technical Architects, Development Managers, Project Managers & others to understand requirements & support estimation process.

• Drive Pre-ID & Assess and ID & Assess in discussion with all stakeholders and arrive at agreed scope, cost & time.

• Support AAA (Application Architecture Assessment), HIR (Hosting Infrastructure Review), Security & Controls requirements, transition to PDO (Application Management)/Plant IT(Information Technology)

• Support Implementation Lead in transition process with Site IT (Information Technology) & PDO (Application Management)

• Participates in decisions that impact or change project scope

• Provides training & technical mentoring to the team.

Education Qualification

Degree with Computer science or equivalent bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of IT (Information Technology) deployment / implementation of plant physicals experience.

Software Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Java 8 and above

• 2 to 3 years of experience in Angular 8/ React

• 4 years of experience in spring boot development

• Experience in developing Rest API

• Experience in cloud platforms such as GCP/ PCF

• No SQL database experience such as MongoDB

• Familiarity with Jenkins – or similar CI CD tools

• Have a good understanding on Github for version management

• Nice to have – System design, Design patterns, data structures and algorithms, UI UX development experience, Junit or similar testing frameworks

Years of Experience

• Experience in delivering projects involving software integrating with plant hardware equipment or implementing a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solution to a big size plant/shop floor

• At least 3 years of experience with Plant Floor IT including software development/deployment process

• Excellent process knowledge with good customer-centric interaction experience

• Ability to build strong, productive relationships with business partners

• Ensure appropriate use of Ford Motor Company IT project management tools(Rally), processes, and methodologies

• Identify risk, assesses impact and executes mitigation plans

• Identify issues, assesses impact and executes resolution

• Interfaces with various levels of management, business customers, vendors and other IT groups

• Collaboration and relationship skills across organizations, including multiple IT and Business partners
