Ford Motor Credit Company is modernizing its legacy Platforms to transform the business and unlock and unleash the power of data for improving customer experiences, regulatory compliance & operational efficiencies. We are rearchitecting our core applications and platforms and moving them to a Unified, Modern, Scalable & Secure solutions on Google Cloud.

We are looking for a Sr. Solution Architect to join FC India IT Architecture team. In this role, you will help evolve the strategy, define platform and domain architecture, create solutions and guide engineering teams to implement solutions on the cloud. This role will provide architecture leadership to engineering teams in India, with key responsibility of supporting applications globally. This role will also drive business adoption of the new platform and sunset of legacy platforms.

• Lead a team of 2 to 4 Solution architects to utilize Google Cloud Platform & Services to modernize legacy applications.

• Understand technical business requirements and define architecture solutions that align to Ford Motor & Credit Companies Patterns and Standards.

• Collaborate and work with global architecture teams to define platform strategy and build Cloud solutions.

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with cloud-based solutions.

• Provide Architecture leadership in utilizing Ford Credit’s cloud native Digital and Unified data platforms.

• Understand complexity of business processes, current application landscape and create modernization roadmaps

• Lead creation and management of Application integration models, GCP infrastructure provisioning and DevOps pipelines

• Provide architectural guidance for optimal solutions considering regional Regulatory needs.

• Provide architecture assessments on technical solutions and make recommendations that meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standard.

• Guide teams through the enterprise architecture processes and advise teams on cloud-based design, development, and data mesh architecture.

• Provide advisory and technical consulting across all initiatives including PoCs, product evaluations and recommendations, security, architecture assessments, integration considerations, etc.

• Design Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) for cloud-based solutions.

• Provide solutions on NFRs and recommend best practices for cloud-based solutions

• Influence stakeholders to bring consensus on cloud-based solution designs

• Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.

• Overall 15+ years of experience with around 6+ years in Solution architecture role, with deep understanding of cloud hosting concepts and implementations.

• Good understanding of domain driven design and data mesh principles.

• Hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying applications based on Java, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, REST APIs CI/CD pipelines, andEvent based architecture

• Strong hands-on experience on microservices and Event based architecture.

• Strong knowledge of cloud-based architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

• Experience with combination of legacy and cloud native components considering security, performance, scalability, observability, DR, etc.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Hands on experience in implementing API, Micro-services, and application security

• Strong in architecture design patterns, experience with secure interoperability standards and methods, architecture tools and process.

• Good understanding on DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), automated testing & deployment pipelines.

• Good understanding of cloud security best practices and be familiar with different security tools and techniques like Identity and Access Management (IAM), Encryption, Network Security, etc.

• Knowledge & know how of enterprise frameworks and architecture design principles.

• Good Understanding of traditional and cloud data warehouse environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Conceptual clarity around front-end development / GraphQL / CRM / Data Warehousing / ETL, etc.

• Strong exposure working in an environment where Development processes – Agile, SAFe been used.

• Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate architectural proposals to diverse audiences (user groups, stakeholders, and senior management).

• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizing, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Computer science/engineering, Data science or related field.

• Experience in front-end development Angular, ReactJS

• Experience in building high performance teams.

• Ability to negotiate & influence stakeholders for driving strategic solutions

• Experience in migrating legacy applications to Cloud platforms and business adoption of these platforms for Automotive Lending, Banking and Insurance.

• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced & dynamic environment.

• Knowledge or certification on TOGAF or any equivalent framework.
