What you'll do

•Primary role is to provide support for the Midnight Shift plant operations from a Quality standpoint

•Supervise a team that supports the manufacturing of products in an organize workflow while ensuring we meet quality and daily productivity requirements.

•Be the primary point of contact with all plant production Team Leaders and Process Coaches as it relates to emerging quality issues.

•Review rejected parts for quality integrity and decide next steps. Issue daily Incoming Quality report.

•Coordinate during quality concerns containment actions, dock holds, and special checks to eliminate any impact to customer.

•Implement interim corrective actions epically as it pertains to the containment of quality issues.

•Responsible for setting Validation Department work priorities

•Responsible for leading QOS (Quality Operating System) initiatives within the production department.

•Create and preserve good working connections with hourly team members, union, and management teams.

•Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers.

•Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies

•Communicate goals and leverage resources to solve problems

•Conflict resolution.

•Timekeeping /DROTs

•Manage overtime.

•Employee training.

•Department safety reviews

•Maintenance Support and Supply orders (Maximo and tool/replacement part procurement).

•Department workspace readiness (housekeeping, parts regression, tool set ups), work instructions and safety procedures.

•Contribute to Green and Black Belt project teams.

•Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements.

You'll have...

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Safety and quality experience

  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified

  • Knowledge of constraint management principles

  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce

This position is a range of salary grades 6 and 7.
